1. What we collect

When you create an account, start a free trial, or become a member, we collect the email address and name you provide. If you complete a purchase, our payment processor (Base44 Payments) collects your billing and payment details directly — we never see or store your full card number.

As you use the Platform, we may also collect limited usage information such as which lessons you've opened and analytics about how the app is used, in order to improve your experience.

2. How we use your information

We use your email and account details to provide and maintain your membership, send important account and billing notices, and occasionally share product updates or offers. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. Emails & communications

Transactional emails (receipts, account changes, renewal reminders) are sent automatically and relate to your membership. You can manage membership-related emails from your account settings.

Optional emails — like new-content announcements or win-back offers — can be declined or unsubscribed at any time using the link in the email.

4. Subscriptions & billing data

Your membership status and billing history are stored on your account so we can manage access, renewals, and cancellations. Payment information is handled by Base44 Payments; we retain only what's needed to identify your subscription and support billing questions.

5. Community & uploads

If you share photos or posts in the community areas, that content is visible to other members. Please avoid sharing personal details you'd rather keep private, and only upload content you have the right to share.

6. Cookies & analytics

We use basic cookies and analytics to keep you logged in, understand how the Platform is used, and improve it. These tools collect aggregate, non-identifying information and do not track you across the internet.

7. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your membership is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to handle billing questions, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time from your settings.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of the personal information tied to your account. Account deletion is available directly in your settings. For other requests, contact us at modernmahjapp@gmail.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children's privacy

The Modern Mahj Method is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we'll remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect when posted. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
